O Lord, protect for us our Majesty the Sultan
And the people in our land,

Flag History

Adopted in 1995, this Oman flag has the red field which is common in the flags
of the gulf states. Green represents the mountains and fertility and white is
for the Imam of Oman and for peace. The emblem of the ruling class is inserted in the canton.
